What we collect, why, and how to make it stop. Last updated: October 12, 2026.

Who we are

Kindquill is an imprint of Five Explorers Press, LLC. When this page says "we", that's who it means.

What we collect when you sign up

  • Your email address (required, so we can send it).
  • Your first name (required, so our emails can greet you by name).
  • Which page you signed up on (for example, the Middle School page or the free page), so the launch news fits.
  • That you ticked the consent box, and when you signed up.
  • Which of two launch offers you were randomly given (a or b).
  • Whether you open our emails and click their links. Our email service records this by default.

That's all. We don't ask for your age, school, diagnosis or anything about your brain.

Why we collect it

To send you what you asked for (the free printable, or a note when the planners are out) and occasional Kindquill emails, including one launch offer. To learn which launch offer people find more useful, each new signup is randomly given one of two Etsy offers; we store which one with your email. We send a few emails a year. We don't sell, rent or trade your email, and we don't use it for anything you didn't sign up for.

Who handles it for us

Our email list is stored and sent by MailerLite, which processes it on our behalf. MailerLite says it stores data in the European Union.

The website is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles the basic request data every website sees (like your IP address) to serve the pages and keep the site safe.

Analytics and affiliate links

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help. It uses cookies. You can block it with your browser settings or an ad blocker, and the site still works.

When the paperback is on sale, some links will go to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, Kindquill earns from qualifying purchases. If you click one, Amazon may set its own cookies under its own privacy notice.

Unsubscribe anytime

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you won't get more emails from us. After you unsubscribe, MailerLite keeps a record that you opted out so you aren't added back by mistake.

Seeing, fixing or deleting your data

You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact: hello@kindquill.com.

Kids

Some Kindquill planners are for middle schoolers. If you're under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to sign up for you with their own email.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top. If the change affects how we use your email, we'll tell you by email first.
